In compliancewith Regulation 178/2002 of the European Parliament and Council, which reestablish the principles and the general requirements of food legislation, NUSI, S. L. has implemented a procedure which ensures Traceability of batches issued.

 

The Fish Farm Nuestra Señora de Ibernalo, S. L. acquiresroe from approved suppliers guaranteeing the absence of genetic manipulation, Absenceof contagious diseases and origin certificate. The nursery and fattening pools have optimal conditions for the development of the trout. The feeding is based on feed with its corresponding certificate of No genetically modified raw materials, absence of terrestrial animal products, antibiotics or growth promoters and Nutritional Aspects about right. Medicated feed is only employed with previous veterinary prescription, complying the dose and timing.

 

NUSI, has a new processing plant, with equipment of correct design and stainless steel and acontrolled workingtemperaturebelow12 °C. The handlershave the necessary training to ensure hygienic and proper handling.

The processing time, around 1 hour, guarantees that as soon as possible, the trout are refrigerated.Cold chain controlled by Nusi until the trout reaches the customer, considering it and important factor that guarantees the Food Safety.

 

Finally, Highlight the present interest in the fish farm in Food Security, reflected in the significant investment of Analytical Checks and Annual Audits. The parameters analyzed are:

 

Water output: Physical, chemical and microbiological parameters.

Growing waters: Heavy metals, pesticides, total coliformsand salmonella.

Feed: pesticides, dioxins, PCBs, heavy metals, aflatoxins, antibiotics, ethoxyquin, fat rate, genetically modified organisms and terrestrial materials.

 

Trout: Aerobes, Enterobacteriaceae, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Listeria, heavy metals, dioxins and PCBs, antibiotics, malachite green and fat into muscle.

 

Surfaces,Aerobic mesó filos and listeria monocytogenes.

Handlers, Aerobic mesó filos.

 

The developingAnalytical Verification Plan is carried out according to the aspects of Food Safety, Quality Product, Animal Welfare and Control of Environmental Impact.
